Colorado Sex Offenders List
Public access to information about sex offenders in the United States is the result of (1) the Wetterling Crimes Against Children and Sexually Violent Offender Registration Act, (2) the Pam Lychner Sexual Offender Tracking and Identification Act and (3) Megan's Law, which require states - like Colorado - to release relevant information about registered sex offenders to protect the public.
Each state differs in terms of how it administers its community notification process. The Colorado sex offenders list IS accessible on-line via the following link:

Colorado Sex Offenders List Excerpt: "The Colorado Bureau of Investigation (CBI) established a website pursuant to 16-22-111, Colorado Revised Statutes (C.R.S.). The website does not list all convicted sex offenders in Colorado, only certain high-risk registered sex offenders in the following categories: Sexually Violent Predator (SVP), Multiple Offenses, and Failed to Register. Most sex offenders convicted after 1991 are required to register with the local law enforcement agency where they reside. Each police or sheriff's agency is required to maintain a list of convicted sex offenders in their jurisdiction and is required to release that information to any citizen of the jurisdiction who requests it. You may contact your local law enforcement agency regarding sex offenders not listed on the website."
